Kernow Martial Arts was founded by a group of martial artists in Cornwall who felt a need for the provision of quality Martial Arts throughout Cornwall which was accessible to all and yet at an affordable price.

What do we offer

Students at our schools study a variety of styles drawing upon the individual talents of those involved in the organization. Rather than tying the student to any one specific style we consider ourselves as a truly freestyle organization. Although a large amount of our grounding comes from 'Freestyle' Taekwondo and Krav Maga our syllabus also incorporates styles such as Karate, Kickboxing, Ju-Jitsu, Boku Jukado, Wing-Chun and Gung Fu through the use of seminars with leading practitioners in each area. The aim of our system is to give the individual a well rounded taster in a broad spectrum of areas.

This philosophy stops the student from becoming too set in their ways and enables them to gain a better understanding of the styles of Martial Art available. In addition to the standard training sessions we can also provide one to one tuition and corporate training for businesses of all sizes. Kernow Martial Arts holds regular seminars and events with some of the UK's leading Martial Artists covering a tremendous range of areas from team building sessions through to weapons training.

Our Instructors

All KMA instructors carry Mastarr Coaching qualifications, 1st Aid certificate, public liability insurance and are completely CRB checked. In addition to  this  all of our instructors have completed child protection courses.

One to One Tuition

This gives an individual the chance to improve on their skill and cover a wider area of expertise than the standard KMA Freestyle course. These classes can be provided during the day and can be held more or less anywhere in Cornwall. This method of learning is ideal for the student who lacks the confidence to train with others or who feels that they need that little bit of an extra challenge.

It is also ideal for current high grade students approaching panel gradings who want to improve on specific areas of their training.

Corporate Training Days

Fed up of paintballing, orienteering or dull team building activities that seem like a waste of money?

Then why not consider a martial art activity? It's becoming increasingly popular and is a novel way to bring new employees together in a setting where everyone from the CEO to the Assistant is learning a new activity.

Kernow Martial Arts will provide highly qualified professional martial arts tuition at your office, hotel or other venue. We can run independant events or fit in to your schedule.
